Firstly, to allay some unfounded concerns. The comp will run pretty much the same as it did in the capable hands of Janet and John Kolasa due to the philosophy of "if it ain't broke, why fix it?".
Six a side will kick off this year on Friday October 10th. There will be 17 rounds from October 10 through to Saturday February 28, 2009.
Sign-up, or team nomination, will happen next weekend and at various times in September and early October - check diary dates on the side panel for times. Please note that it is very much a case of "first-in, best dressed". Please note that full nomination fee must be paid before the team will be accepted into the competition..
Team nomination forms are now available at Sportsfront on Main St. Neil Worth has kindly acceded to my request and will be accepting team nomination forms and payments at his shop.
Please note that EFTPOS is not an option - all nomination fees must be paid in cash.
The senior teams (mixed, mixed social, and senior mens) will play on Friday night starting at 6:00pm. The time slots will be decided once the numbers are finalised.
The junior teams will play on Saturday afternoon starting at 4:00pm. Age groups and time slots will be decided once numbers are finalised.
It would be fantastic if we could get a junior girls comp together. I would ask anyone who coaches girls to start drumming up interest but please be aware that once nominations are closed, no more teams will be accepted.
