Working Bee Saturday March 13

(next Saturday).

McFie Park
8am to noon.

Since only seven (7!) people showed up last weekend and there is still much work to be done, another working bee has been organised for this Saturday.

Our fields do not take care of themselves and employing a groundskeeper can only be accomplished by drastically raising fees.

Thank you to Syd Tanner who recently took these pictures of Football Hervey Bay's fields, as well as those of HBUSC. They were taken from an ultralight on Saturday morning, April 4.

FHB Fields
In order from top to bottom, Fields 3, 4, and 5.

Field 4 is the main playing field for competitive games. Field 3 is used for SSGs (u6-u9). Field 5 is predominantly a training field.

Field 1 is on the left, Field 2 on the right.

The majority of games are played on Fields 1 & 2.
The large building is Hervey Bay United Soccer Club (HBUSC), a popular gaming venue with a bar and kitchen. HBUSC owns the venue and the pitches. FHB leases the fields along with the Hervey Bay Touch Association.

For a ground level perspective of the two pictures above, have a look at the Google Street View here.
