FHB receives Lighting Grant! |
|
Andrew McNamara MP, Member for Hervey Bay, today announced that over $940,000 in State Government Sport and Recreation grants would go to a number of Hervey Bay organisations.
Included in this amount is $42,746 for Football Hervey Bay. Using this money, and approximately $23,000 of FHB funds, we will erect lighting for Fields 3 and 5.
This will enable us to use these fields for night-time training and games.
Helping to foster a healthy lifestyle and avoid preventable disease is one of the Bligh Government’s Toward Q2 goals for our future.
This grant was made possible by the hard work of Mal McKellar. Using the initial concept, he arranged planning permission, obtained specifications and quotes, and finally processed our application. Thanks Mal.
Full information on this grant, and for other sporting bodies, can be viewed here.
